Meet the August 2019 Student of the Month
VIRTUAL STUDENT: Wendy Cook
From Roswell, New Mexico, Wendy is a third-year student working towards an MPS degree with a concentration in Organizational Leadership. Her favorite leadership class has been Women in Leadership in Cinema. She says, “Not only did we get to watch some fierce portrayal of women on screen, but I also had some of the best conversations about female leadership and motherhood to a daughter with Christine. I hope to meet her in person one day.” The professors are a big reason why Wendy chose to be involved in the department; they make it feel like home. Wendy currently works at a local art museum, where she was allowed to create her show that is on display until the end of the year. She is also a member of the Girl Scouts of the Desert Southwest Gold Award committee and spends a good amount of her time at the baseball fields, where her husband is a college baseball coach, and her daughter plays softball. She also enjoys hiking and yoga when she has the chance. Congratulations, Wendy!
